Film that you shot 20 or more years ago is most likely in good shape. Some 16 and 35mm film tends to deteriorate over time (THE VINEGAR SMELL), but most 8mm and super 8 film has a relatively long shelf life. So why should you have it duplicated?

Reason number 1 is that Film transferred to DVD will last far longer than the film on the reel will. It will NEVER lose its color (the color that was transfered from the original) and it can be easily duplicated time and again with no loss of quality.
